Ishi's Culminating Acitvity

My daughter Ishi finally finished with her summer gymnastics class.

Look at her....

She's very happy to receive a Diploma. She may not know what is that paper but I can see hopw excited she was when she received it on stage =)

Cute!

Hoping for more class before June ends but she said she's tired already so I am giving some more time to think about it before I decide to enroll her again =)

For now, have to focus on starts of classes.

My LIttle Gymnast

My daughter Ishi is finally going to finish her 2 months Summer Gymnastics Program at Gymnastics of the Philippines.
She's doing GREAT. She started last April 5, 2010 and the session will end on May 28. She had 24 sessions plus 2 weeks FREE. She all in all had 34 sessions. That's a lot! As a Mom who's always bringing her kid to the Gym everyday is so tiring! I feel like I am working out everyday. =P
Today is another practice to make. Friday is their last day and SUNDAY will be their Culminating Activity. They will be showing what they have learned that day coordinated with music and choreography. I am seeing what they are practicing everyday. I am seeing how my daughter improved so well. Still I am excited to see her on their Culminating Activity. I am so excited to show her Lolo and Lola esp. her Daddy how Ishi has become after this summer program.
Husband actually seeing her daughter thru my videos. I am always taking videos of her activity almost everyday. But watching her daughter personally is what I am waiting for. He is so proud of her Ishi, also am I of course.

Gymnastics has a lot of benefits for both of us. For me, bringing my daughter everyday to this far venue, is really a good exercise for me. Walking to LRT, then going up to the stairs, then walking again till we reach the gym! My bowel movement is now normal! =))
For my daughter, gymnastics helped her to improve her appetite. She is eating more now tahn usual maybe because she's so hungry after the session. Though she's not into rice, she is more on eating biscuits, fruits, and bread and that's okay at least she's eating.
Gymnastics also helped her get away from the television for almost half a day. She is so addicted to TV and we all know watching too much tv has not so good effects to our kids.
Gymnastics helped her to follow instructions (sometimes). She also has improvements in observing discipline like she can only stay in the shower for 20 seconds. She is now instructing me to start counting every time she got inside the shower cubicle. =) And after 20 counts, she is going out already and started to change clothes.
Ishi is already independent even before so being independent is not a problem with her. She can get her water her self, she knows how to get water already from the water dispenser whenever she needed more water. We, parents are far from our kids, we were not allowed to go inside their area. So the kids has no choice but to serve their selves and that's a good thing! =P
I am so happy I enrolled my daughter in gymnastics. We both gained new friends again, we also had more times together as mommy and daughter.
My son wanted to enroll in gymnastics too, unfortunately his age is not fit yet for the class. Hope he could enroll next year. For now, Ishi is going back to regular class this JUNE and if luckily we have extra money, we will still enroll her in gymnastics again and attend every after her class. Hope to get her back to the GYM coz the coach has plans for her this coming competition.

Here's my daughter pics before and after GYMNASTICS.

(Ishi on her first day - APRIL 5, 2010 )

Ishi's Latest Pic @ the Gym

After her culminating activity hope she could always remeber what she have learned for two months. Hope she could apply her talent in good ways. Hope someday she'll become a professional GYMNAST competing inside and outside the country. Hope to see you in OLYMPICS someday! =)

Summer Gymnastics for Ishi

I finally chose a summer activity for my daughter Ishi. My options for her were swimming, ballet and gymnastics. I tried asking her and she always chooses swimming. I brought her to the Rizal Memorial Gym where her daddy used to study gymnastics too, she was so excited. She keeps on showing her skills to the coach who assed her if she can join the class already due to her age. And I guess Ishi impressed the coach coz he said she can enroll this summer. We were not yet enrolled but hubby and I were considering it as our chosen activity for our super active daughter. I am also excited to see her doing the stuff she's seeing with the other kids there in the gym. Daddy taught her to roll already and she is also good with monkey bars that's why we thought of joining her to gymnastics aside from the fact that her dad is good with these stuff too. I can't wait to enroll now. I can't wait till April 5 comes coz that's the first day of the class. =)

Parent - Teacher Conference

Hubby and I attended our first ever Parent-Teacher Conference last Saturday. This is our first time and we were both nervous to see her report card and what the teacher will say about her performance for the past 2 and half months. The teacher said Ishi is in 11th out of 14, I was a bit sad but after teacher told me about her attitude in class, I feel like the problem also lies in me. The teacher said Ishi was so playful, she is not listening to what the teacher was saying. Teacher said Ishi has potential but finding it hard to pay attention. I was a bit disappointed with some of the topic in her exams though I didn't reviewed her, I know for my self that she knows it but when I saw the results, she got it all wrong! I tested her again if she really doesn't know the answer but she answered correctly that time. I think she was just lazy doing it. I wanted to develop her concentration this time but I don;t know how, anybody who knows what to do? Oh please give me some advise. I really wanted to give her a gift because at least she passed my 80% and above quota for her exam but I was thinking if she deserves it or not. I was thinking of buying her a toddler backpack or a insulated lunch tote. She also wants a bid princess doll but If possible I don't want to buy her toys again. I also love to buy a nap mats and remove out rubber mat at home already. But before that I have to figure out first how to develop her concentration so she could focus in school. It's really hard to become a Mom here. Gosh please, anybody help me!

Busy Preparing for Ishi's Lingo ng Wika Costume =)

Tomorrow is La Cabecera's Linggo ng Wika program. Junior Casa (Nursery) where my daughter Ishi belong is going to dance "Carinosa" and their going to wear Filipiniana Costume. I already visit Bayan ng Malabon and looked for a costume. I already had a sando and kimona. There are lots of "saya" there but I don't want the floral designs they were selling so I bought my own cloth and I will make my daughter her "saya" on my own. I also did look for a "tsinelas" but I can't find her size so I just bought a big size and repaired it myself.

Now, I have to set Ishi's body clock to wake up at 6 am coz the program is 7 in the morning and this is gonna be a big problem! I am having a hard time waking her up in the morning. I hope we could wake up early so we can participate in the program, coz if not, Ishi's costume is gonna be useless. So good luck to us tomorrow!

Ishi's First Quarter Exam Tomorrow

My daughter's exam is tomorrow already, I haven't reviewed her lessons to her yet because I am really having a hard time teaching her at home. She is not listening and keeps on playing and watching TV. I wanted to review her lessons but I feel like I am forcing her already if she really doesn't want to review, I don't want to force her, so sometimes I am thinking of other way of reviewing her. Hope she finish her work tomorrow. I am really nervous until now I just don't know why. I will not expect anything from my kid, I want her to enjoy her schooling but I can't stop feeling this way. I am really nervous. Let's just hope she gets good grades. I also said to my daughter that if she gets good grades I will give her some gifts like stephen joseph backpack or stephen joseph quilted backpack. I am still thinking of other rewards for her like kids nap mats or any personalized stuff. Enough for toys coz she really has plenty of toys already. For now, i still have to try teaching my kid and refresh her lessons. Giving her exercises and activity is more effective to her than just reviewing.

Just Came Home From The Hospital

My husband and I rushed our daughter Ishi to Chinese General Hospital just this morning. She's been vomiting the whole night. We're so worried coz whenever she eats or drinks something her stomach seem not to like it, she still blows it. We arrived at the hospital at around 9am having a fever of 39 again and she just blew the Milo drink we just gave her this morning. I thought she's gonna be confine but thanks God she's not. She didn't blow the paracetamol the nurses gave her and the food she just ate after the paracetamol. The Doctor advise us to go home already and buy the medicines she prescribed to us. We're home now and Ishi is taking her rest. Hoping she''ll be fine soon.
My husband and I were so worried about another thing, financial matters. Most of the families I know were having a problem with this. Emergencies like this were given so we really have to prepare for this. And that is our problem, we're not ready for emergencies like this though we're expecting it. We're actually worried about our condo's processing fee on 2010 and now comes another thing to worry. This is more serious coz It's all about my kids health. If this happens you should have enough money for hospitalizations. I think my hubby and I needs to find an investor leads already. We need to save for our kids health. Gosh, this is very hard for me. I am just praying to God to please help my kids to have their full recovery. He is the only one who can help us during these times.

Buttons Up for ISHI!

Ishi always wanted to button her dad's polo shirts, she' always trying so hard but she can't do it yet not until yesterday. Thursday morning when his dad preparing for work, wearing his favorite blue long sleeves, Ishi volunteered to button her dad's polo. The sweet dad let her daughter and finally button one after a few minutes. We we're amazed coz some of the kids on her age can't do that yet. When my husband left I gave her another dad's polo shirt from his closet and let her practice it. Surprisingly she finished it earlier than I expected. I gave her another clothe, this time it's her uniform, and no sweat, she finished it faster than the first exercise. amommy is so proud of you my dear!!!!
Here's some of her pics while dong the "buttons up" lesson!

All About Kids #3

Last Friday, we went to my Uncle's house to pick up Monica, my cousin who's having her vacation in Manila and staying with us in Malabon. Ishi and Ethan are with me, I am confident to bring them both even if I was alone because it is not that far from our place. and besdes Monica is with us when we go home. So we travelled, we rode a jeepney, I paid for two so Ishi can have her own seat. The jeep was runing so fast, I am worrying because Ishi is so malikot.
Here's some of our conversation that really thrown away my worries and made me laugh so hard:

Me: Ishi you sit down Anak.
Ishi: It's okay mommy nakahawak naman ako eh!

(I din't talk, I'd let her stand since she said she's holding from the bars naman. But the jeep is really running so fast that make me feel so worry...)

Me: (slightly shouting) Ishi I said sit down baka lumipad ka dyan!
Ishi: (seriously answered) Mom don't worry, Hndi naman ako bird eh! Wala akong pakpak! Hindi ako lumilipad!

Gosh, Oo nga naman wala naman syang pakpak at lalung hindi siya bird noh! Ahahahahaahahahah this conversation really made me laugh so hard!!!! Kids talaga!

Ishi's First Toothache

Did I mention last that May 1, Ishi had her first toothache? She didn't sleep well that night, i dunno what else to do just to make her feel better. I know the feling of having a toothache and it's really painful. I'd rather have a stomach ache or headache but toothache is really intolerable! That's why I know how Ishi was feeling that night. I tried giving her a toothmoouse but it just gave her comfort for some minute and the pain was there again.
May 2, dad and lola mama accompanied her to the dentist but she doesn't want her mouth touch. The dentist just gave her antibiotics for her swollen tooth and scheduled to come back this week. May 7, today, we just visited her dentist again for dental cleaning and flouride. Unfortunately she didn't cooperate again. i tried to talk to her but she really don't wanna open her mouth. I can't blame her coz i myself not visiting the dentist regularly. i think it's our fault, we are supposed to be the models. We are supposed to bring her to the dentist regularly not when the tooth is already aching. What kind of parents are we? I am so guilty about it. I hope it's not too late coz I am planning to bring her to her dentist weekly so she can familiarize her self and befriended with the dentist. In that case, I think she will cooperate then soon in time.

Mommy Moments #13 Ishi's Graduation Day

This is very special moment for my husband and I. It's our first time to experience this event as a parent. Ishi is our first born child, I know she was just "saling pusa" but she really did a good job on her studies. She's already three last November 2008 and we're not expecting too much from her yet, actually we don't plan to enroll her as Kinder I already, we want her to experience real "Nursery" thing. I know the teacher treated her special in her class because she was just saling pusa that's why we want her to start in Nursery again..this time..SERIOUSLY.

Look how excited even her Lola Mama was, she bought a hair extension for Ishi....what a kikay lola. =)

Their Graduation was held in Maxx's Restaurant last March 29 in Malabon. We arrived early that's why we still have time for more picture takings.

Look at our baby go...she's so lovely! She's our very precious gift!

...and here's more picture taking while waiting for the program to start....

and the program begins....Ishi was very excited everytime her name was being called. I think she loves to go to stage. hehehehe =)

This is one of what she was practicing for a week...I love this intermission number...I love seeing Ishi sings and act hehehe she's so cute!

Ishi doesn't like this dance but she danced a little..

we are not expecting another award but when Ishi's name was called for "Silver Medal Award" , stage dad was very excited to bring her daughter in stage...he's the stage dad and I am the paparazzi mom!

This is Ishi's favorite part..she loves this dance and she was also excited because she knows that after this number, she will be able to get her "gift" from mom and dad already. But you know what, maybe because of her excitement she shouted at me saying "naiihi na ako", I said "later you finished your dance first!". She tried dancing again but I can see her legs crossing already kaya I said "come on let's go to the CR, and when we came back the music was over. Good thing I have recorded her dancing "sabay sabay tayo" during practice hehehe =) Dad was disappointed at first because he really wants to see her precious Ishi dance for the first time on the stage like what we used to do before (hubby and I were both school dancers) but ofcourse you know kids...hehehehe we can't really blame them.

this is the moment Ishi was waiting for....to get her "baby Alive Doll"! She waited for almost 2 weeks for this! Congrats baby for your patience! She really deserves it! I am so happy I bought it for her!

Time to celebrate!!!

and another gift Ishi just received from Lola Mama! Look how happy she was...and we were so happy for her, too!

Ishi Got "6 Awards" on Recognition Day!

This our very first time as parents to experience watching our child going up to stage and receiving an award. Ishi's recognition day was last thursday and we really reserved our time for this. Why not, this is a very special day for us. Our little girl seems to love the crowd clapping when the emcee called her name. If she's happy what more we are as parents? Daddy took a leave just to watch his little girl and I think he enjoyed that day.

This Saturday is another special day for her and for us too! It's her graduation day to be held at Max's Restaurant in Malabon. I know she was just "saling pusa" but we want her to feel her accomplishments in seven months straight of going to school. I am not expecting any honors to be awarded on graduation day, I am cool with what she got last thursday - Best in Arts and P.E., Best in Writing, Most Behave, Most Neat, Most Punctual, and Best in Attendance. What else can I wish for? I know she's not that active yet, her classmates were 1 to 2 years older than her, and she's not focusing yet in her studies. We just enrolled her because she said she wants to go to school already and we also wanted her to keep herself busy in school instead of watching dvd's all day!

And it's all worth it! I hope next school year, she'll be more focus and active. I cannot wait for tomorrows event, this is another "first" for us as parents...ISHI will be performing on stage. She will be dancing "sabay sabay tayo" and "I like You". She'll be performing a song too with her classmates of course. I hope she'll perform tomorrow (puwera sumpong). I am also excited to give her Baby Alive Go Bye Bye as graduation gift! =) Post her graduation soon!

All About Kids #1

Last night I was reading Amazing Life Cycles for kids - Mammals, Reptiles, Fish and Birds. I was discussing some easy parts to my three-year old daughter Ishi like where do fishes lives and how do they breath underwater...etc. Here's some of our question and answer portion after some discussions:

Me: Ishi san nakatira ang fish? (where do fish lives?)
Ishi : Water
Me: Panu nakakahinga ang fish? Anu gamit nila? ( How do they breathe? What do they use in breathing?)
Ishi: Sa Gills!
Me: Wow very good! E, tayo san tayu humihinga? (How bout us? Where do we breath?)
Ishi: Sa electricfan!

Hubby and I laughed very hard! This is funny yet amazing how kids think. How did she come up with the idea that were breathing in electricfan? Hmmm..maybe because there's an air coming out from it.

Another amazing answers from Ishi after this "Fish" topic.... I was trying to ask her some english questions....

Me: Ishi what's your favorite color?
Ishi: BLUE
Me: Why do you like blue?
Ishi: E, syempre!
Me: Hmmm...what is your favorite food?
Ishi: Fish
Me: Wow! Galing sumagot ng baby ko ah! Hmmm one more.....what is your....
Ishi: Banana (No question yet but she answered already, i dunno if she was anticipating that the next question is what's her favorite fruit coz banana is the one!)
Me: Wait I don't have question yet!

And hubby and I keeps on laughing again and again. Untill this morning when we woke up, we were still talking about it! Hay, our kids makes us so Happy everyday!

Ishi Idolized Marian Rivera

Ishi loves to dance, she loves most of Marian's dance hits. Her favorite is "SO SEXY", now she likes "sabay sabay tayo" because they were practicing it for their graduation presentation this coming March 28. She started to like Marian Rivera when she played the role "Marimar" in chanel 7 - GMA. She was imitating the dance steps of Marian as Marimar. Now that Marian has a new Telenovela- "Ang Babaeng Hinugot Saking Tadyang", we watched the very first episode of it with my daughter Ishi.
Too late when I found out it's not apropriate for kids, I did't react yet, I don't want my daughter to feel any malice about it. We just stopped watching and I said we're going to bed already. She didn't cry or something but before we go to bed, she asked me to dance Marian's dance...I dance "Marimar Dance" then she shouted "Hindi ganyan mommy...ganito" and danced na parang nasa club (Do you know what I mean if you have watched the first episode of it). Though it looks so cute to see my little Ishi dancing that way, I feel so guilty because I let her watched this telenovela. Did you know what's worst than dancing dirty dance? One day I was angry with her because of some silly things she have done, she was sorry and said "mommy kiss na tayu" (she's always like that when I am mad at her)....I kissed her naman kasi nag sorry na...I was shocked because she didn't gave me a smack kiss but a "semi adult kiss"!!! Do you get what I mean? As in yung parang ginagaya nya talga yung kissing scene nila Ding Dong and Marian!!!! Gosh naloka ako!!!! I want to get mad but since she was just a kid and ofcourse dhe didn't know what she did, I said nalang "yuck....laway!!! hindi ganun ang tamang pag kiss!", and she asked "pang mommy at pang daddy lang ba yun? at pang lola? at pang lolo?". I don't know what to answer pero sabi ko " yes pang adult lang yun, pag nakita ka ni daddy ng ganun pagagalitan ka niya!". After a week she did it pa rin...magalit na talaga ko...tapos ayun awa ng Diyos d na niya ginagawa ulit. Iniiwasan ko nlnga talaga makapanood siya ng ganung mga eksena kasi big girl na....nanggagaya na talaga. Kakatakot! Hay!
How bout you mommies? Me anak na ba kayung ganito? hay kakaloka! 3 years old palang eh kung anu anu na ang nakikita....hindi namana ko mahilig manood ng TV ngayun kaso sa gabi kasi naka TV na ang mga lola! Sigh!

Ishi Danced "Sabay sabay Tayo"

I am so happy this morning....my Little girl participated in their dance practice today and she really gave her best shot! I am so amazed....they started practicing last Wednesday, she's attending practice but she's not dancing that much and she actually has her own choreography! Hahahhahah! I am letting her do what she wants, but we have a deal, I'll be buying her "Baby alive Go bye bye" (I already had it at home nakatago! shhhhh...) if she dance on her graduation day. I think she was motivated because of the doll. She have seen it in internet and she really wants it! Hindi ko nga lang alam kung hangang kailan nya yun "gusto" ahhaha you know kids pag bigay mo ng bagong toy ilang araw ang napag sawaan na! Anyway, basta kahit saglit lng siya masaya masaya na din ako ehheheh =) I hope she'll dance sa graduation nya heheheh =) Kasi parang kahit di sya magsayaw bibigay ko din nama ang doll so better magsayaw sana siya kahit saglit lang hehehhe. Nweis here's her video while practicing ....

Enjoy!

Introducing "Princess Ishi's Diary"

I decided to make a separate blog for my daughter Ishi, I wanted to make a blog on her own in a diary form though I am still the author. I wanted to compile her activities.....she will start her real schooling next year, I wanted to blog her experiences, her adventures, her schedules and even her beginnings like when she was still a baby. I am so excited hope I could make it. I am not satisfied with my first blog "My Little Angels", i am not supposed to mixed it with things that are not related to my two kids. But since I am accepting "opps", it's all ready mixed up! Anyway, here's my new blog........ "Princess Ishi's Diary".
I am still designing a badge for her...here's one of my first trial.......

I want a Baby Alive too!!

The first time I have seen this Baby Alive as a prize in one of the contest here in blogosphere I really fell in love and amazed with it. Imagine a toy that eats and poops? Ahahhaha very amazing isn't it?? This one is different, it doesn't poop but It's okay for me coz it seems to be a good buy anyway!

  • She comes with a bottle and partially-detachable diaper. Requires three "AAA" batteries, included. Measures 12" tall.
My friends and others noticing me selling so many things, I have house and lot, books and bags hehehe, of course coz I needed to earn some extra. Do you know what I mean? My husband's salary is only enough for our needs, my sales is realty is for their education and other important matters. My extra income in bags and books, and my earnings in Paypal from paid posts is really a good help to give my kids a toy they'll surely love and enjoy! Architect has 2 Baby Alive Dolls for Lil J already, I asked her to sell one to me but she is really addicted to baby alive so she refused to sell it hahahahha! It's okay coz she helped me find another one at ebay, since I am not a member and don't know how to bid yet, she ended up bidding for me using her account. How nice of her! She's a blessing to me! I am so excited to have it already! I think I will be having it on March! I am so excited! My Ishi will surely love it! She have seen one like this before and she really liked it! So sad I can't afford to buy one in the Philippines for it's too expensive! It is like 3,000 pesos in the Philippines while it was only $21.98 or 1,011.74 in ebay, shipping included! Good buy isn't it? I am really thankful to Architect If not because of her, I will not be able to find an affordable baby alive! Yipee!!!

Friday Show and Tell : #1Why does Mom and Dad need to Work?

I was talking to my daughter awhile ago before I received Lynne's invitation for her new meme..."Friday Show and Tell : Parents Edition". I told her about my first ever sale for the year in real estate. I told her that were blessed because God had given us a another blessing! While I was saying this to her, she was seriously looking at me, she's listening and then came near me and said "mommy hug tayo.../mommy let's have a hug". I was touched. I didn't expect she will understand what I am saying at her very young age. She's only three but she already understands what I am telling her. I asked her again another question, " do you know why mom and dad needs to work?", and she replied " You and dad needs to work so that eEhan (her baby brother) and I could have a new flute, pink for me and blue for him, a new books, a new toy, and a lot of milk". I smiled and said "very good!" then kissed her.
