Mommy Moments : Kids and Mom's First Flight

mommy moments

Hi everyone! I am now officially using this website for Mommy Moments instead of using "Me, Myself and Jes', and I am so happy to be back to blogniverse! :)

Here's my entry for this week, a WHITE BOARDING pass.
Just in time to share our first unforgettable flight experience.

Photobucket

This white boarding pass was given to us in MIA Terminal 2.

Photobucket

and here's Ethan holding his passport and boarding passes, a little bit sleepy coz we were in the airport at around 4am

We got 3 boarding passes, 1st was for Manila to Narita Japan, 2nd, Narita to Atlantha. This second trip was a horrible experience for a Mom like me who was alone with two kids, we were boarding when we experience that 3 consecutive strong earthquakes. At first, I though it as just part of boarding experience, I just learned it from the stewardess when the earth quake stopped. I didn't panicked for I can't see any worried face inside that plane. They were all calmed and patiently waiting for us to fly. I started to worry when our trip was canceled that day but thank God for we can be able to fly in the evening after waiting for 5 hours inside the plane.
Our 3rd passes was for trip to ARKANSAS from Atlanta. This is the most exciting part for us three. We were all so excited to see dad. We just flew for 2 hours and then we were at last reunited! So happy!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who had been worried for us and prayed for our safety.

Share your mommy moments with us here! :)

What a Cold Sunny Day!

Ay yay yay! Start of classes and start of sickness!! No, not sickness of going to school but a real sickness! My kids and I are sick! I guess it's because of the weather. Combination of cool breeze and hot rays of the sun. Not a good combination!
Last Monday my kids went to school early, we were planning to start getting to school on time this year unfortunately we didn't able to go to school the next day till today (thursday). Ay yay yay what a start. Hope to go to school by tomorrow coz they seem well already. My bunso is so kulet and active again. Thank God! It's better to see them run around and me shouting all day than see them lying on the bed.

Have a nice days ahead everyone! Don't forget to drink your vitamins and fight sickness! The weather is not so good so better have prevention than cure!

Give and Receive

Time to clean up! Time to check our whole house and give away the old stuff you think you will not be needing! Most of the time I am checking my closets and kids stuff and if there are things that I think we will not be needing anymore, I am packing them away and giving it to my nieces and nephews. My kids are aware and used to it already, giving their old stuff to other kids, and they are happy doing it.
This month I asked them again to check on their stuff and I will be needing some stuff to pledge on our upcoming MOMMY BLOGGERS CHRISTMAS PARTY. My KIDS excitedly said SURE! We will start later. I was actually planning to buy educational books for donations but I guess old toys and clothes is also a big help besides I am having shortage of budget this month hahaha!
Can't wait for my kids to arrive home from school and start checking on their stuff. LOL :))

MM: School Days

mommy moments

Happy Weekend Everyone!
No Classes, no waking up early, no making "uto" to the kids just to get up, eat breakfast and take a bath. You know being a mom during school days is so hard for me and my mom being my assistant every morning. Sometimes I'm sending them to school and sometimes it's my mom.
My kids are so hard to wake. Been waking them up from 6:30 am, I have to turn on the computer and play their favorite movie, but sometimes they are not buying it. This week I tried playing children song, effective for just 2 days only. =(
Their attitude is bugging me, am I forcing them too much? Am I too harsh ?
I don't wanna get mad at them but sometimes my patience is giving up. They are always going to school late. Always late! What kind of mom I am?!

These are my kids last week before they go to school =)

But despite of having hard time waking them, feeding them and bathing them, they still end up enjoying inside the school. They are okay inside their classroom participating and doing their works. Maybe they were only acting this way because they don't want to wake up early.
Happy MM everyone!

Ready for School Time?

Last year I was so busy looking for a school for my Ishi, six months before I already found a school for her and I already prepared her full tuition fee. I enrolled her and I bought everything she needs about a month before the class started, that's how prepared I was last year!
It's already 15th of May. My Son Ethan is gonna be Junior Casa (nursery) and Ishi is moving up to Junior Advance Casa (kinder 1). I haven't enrolled them yet, it's not because we don't have money yet, it's just that I still can't decide if we're going to enroll or not because of some reasons (i'll blog it sometime). It's hard to move and decide if you were still waiting and considering for somethings. (sigh!) But since hubby and I talked about it already, we decided to enroll the kids. I don't know when but one of these days maybe before June 14 comes. they still don't have bags and other school stuff. Maybe I'll think of them after I enrolled them. =)
How bout you guys? Ready for school? I'm sure all of the mom's out there were so busy! Hays! Wonder Moms!

Dad's (Bonus) Gifts to Our Kiddos

Daddy just got his performance bonus...hooray for I am actually worried last week because our budget is very budgeted! Thank God He gave us this blessing, some for our savings (for our condo Processing fee), some for my kiddos needs that we cannot afford to buy if we only rely with my husband's salary and some for hubby and I's Birthday this August. We're not going to have a party, we just wanted to celebrate our birthday maybe with the kids and with some close friends. We are not going to buy any material things except for our kiddos. I bought (using dad's money) my daughter some blouse coz most of her tops do not fit to her anymore. I also bought (using dad's money...again) my son a black pair of shoes for his uniform. I am so happy I bought them what I really wanted to buy for them last week. I just can't buy them that time yet because I don't wanna spent all our money and left nothing for emergencies. You know how important it is to save money for emergency (even though we don't like them), that's why I am really thankful to Him for this blessing! God knows how much we need it! Hope to have more blessings to come this year =)

Perfect Pancake Lesson

I always cook pancake for my kids ever since they started to eat solid foods. I am only buying ready to cook pancake but I can't still cook it perfectly (poor me). Sometimes it's not formed well, sometimes it is burned. I am still figuring it out one at a time why I always have these mistakes. I know I am not a good cook that's why I am practicing, though we all know making pancake is as easy as cooking an egg right? (Actually I had a hard time cooking an egg too hehehehe). Do you know that even if I can't make a perfect pancake, I am still teaching my three year old daughter Ishi how to cook one? Yes I do..... let me share you the complete lessons she got from making pancakes....
Whenever I am doing something, I wanted my daughter to be part of it. So when I am cooking pancake (since it was easy to do), I am inviting her to the kitchen and be part of the lessons - cooking, math, science, english and art. Here's what we do:
Ishi is going to mix the pancake powder with the water, she loves to stir it. I told her to say the word "stir, stir, stir" while she does it. And then she learned the word "STIR". After she has finally mixed it well, I'll ask her to watch me putting some butter or margarine in the pan then watch it transform from solid margarine to liquid margarine. Same with the pancake itself, before you cook it, it was liquid, and when it already cooked it'll became solid...then she began to learn about SOLID and LIQUID. When pancake is ready, Ishi loves to put strawberry syrup on top. ART time... she'll draw something she has in mind that time using the strawberry syrup on her pancake. After that, time to slice up the pancake into one half, then one fourth, one eight up to one sixteenth. She loves to do that, and then she learned some MATH.
I just realized a while ago (while we we're cooking pancake again), that I am always making a perfect pancake lesson. I may not teach her the good texture of a pancake, but I am proud to know she learned such things from me while cooking pancake. I should be proud right?

Ishi and Ethan Adventure @ Gymboree Trinoma

After Hubby and I had mountain climbing adventure last last week, it's our kid's turn to have their adventure too! Ethan's Ninang Julliefer invited them to one hour play at Gymboree Trinoma. While waiting for Ninang to arrive, my kids saw the Merry Go Round and anu pa nga ba kundi nagpumilit na namang sumakay hehehehe =) Walang nagawa ang daddy kundi samahan sila. I feel dizzy that time that's why I didn't ride with them, I just took some pics again. They also saw yung mga fountains and they love to play with the water ahahahaha kaso sabi ko dirty kaya pinanood nalang nila. After some minutes Ninang was there na and we went to GYMBOREE!

They had so much fun and they don't even wanna go home yet after one hour or play. My kids really love slides and other stuff that was in there. Gymboree is different among all other play area IShi and Ethan have been. Gymboree play and music helps you and your child builds creativity, confidence and lifelong friendship. They also offered classes such as music, sports, arts, family and school skills.
This is a fun activity for my kids though it's too expensive compared to other play area, I wanted to go back there again if we have some sort of "extra" heheheheh =)

6 Days to Go Before Len's Wedding!

I am so excited, this will be my kids' first time in wedding entourage! I can't wait to see them wearing their gown and barong! Stage dad is actually more excited than me, he's gonna wear a bar0ng too! Ahahahhah! Last week I was problematic what to wear....when Mary Ann and I went to Let's Face It, she ask me to go window shopping. We visited some of her favorite botique and helped me find what to wear. At first I am not interested to buy because the clothes are too expensive. But when we passed through Karimadon and tried looking again, Mary Ann saw a cutie dress for me. I love it for the first time I saw it. Thank God It's not as expensive as what I have seen from the first stores we visited. I am not wearing a dress that is above the knee, good thing there's a leggings that I can wear with the dress. I found it very cutie, I will post it after my kids clothes were completely okay. My mother in-law still fixing my son's pants size and my daughter's gown bids (she is not completely satisfied with the gown's design, good thing she's good at it!). I will post our outfit soon!!

Mommy Moments #2 First Photo of your Kids

This is very unforgettable moment for all of us moms. This is the best thing happened in my life. I won't forget the moment when I gave birth to my two little angels ISHI and ETHAN!!!
This is my first child ISHI, she was born last November 14, 2005, 3:26 pm at Chinese General Hospital. I delivered her NORMAL but PAINLESS with the help of Dra. Marilyn Co - my OBGyne. She was 7.9 lbs and 49cm long.

ISHI's and her Dad's first pic....they were like twins.

This is her first pic with us....

and her first pic at home with her so proud daddy!

And ofcourse my second child - ETHAN, who was also born in Chinese General Hospital on Jjanuary 15, 2007, 2:55 in the afternoon. He was then 6.11 lbs and 50 cm long. Same OB Gyne and same procedure with my first child. The only difference is that I labored for almost 24 hrs with my Son unlike with my first child, I just experienced 3 hrs labor. Painless delivery is not actually no pain at all it was just pain-less! I did experienced labor pa din. But were happy because we feel so blessed that time having a girl and a boy already! That means we don't have to try our luck anymore because we really wanted two kids only - a girl and a boy. But if God wants to give us anther kid or plenty of kids pa, we will whole heartedly accept it.

My Son, ETHAN at the Nursery

After 10 days of waiting.....daddy was so excited to pick up his boy from the hospital. My poor little Ethan had a problem with his blood so they have to confine him for 10 days and had his antibiotics.

See how excited my hubby was.....he didn't let me touch ETHAn first, sya daw muna. =)

And this was his first pic with all of us!

I love this meme very much for giving me a chance to express what this blog is all about. This is about mommy moments! For moms like me who wants to join, just click HERE.
